About

Like so many other allotment plot holders, Margaret and Malcolm Dalebö like to keep a diary of what they grow and what they did, and by blogging it they are able to share it with others who may be interested.
We each have an allotment on the same site in Worcester, England. Both allotments were in poor shape when we acquired the lease on them, and with much effort they have now improved enough to be very productive, but much work remains to improve the quality of the soil.
We have invested effort in building paths and polytunnels on both allotments and make great efforts to compost and practice what we call organic light horticulture. If the organic way means too much effort or time, then we revert to the route of Roundup and chemicals. But the number one rule is that no chemicals are ever used on our food.
