I must admit to having been really taken by Wilko's own liquid fertilizer, it has a Potassium rich formula and seems to be perfect for a liquid tomato feed.
In the normal terse manner that regular Wilko customers have come to expect, they simply tell us "Wonder Gro all purpose soluble plant food feeds all flowers; vegetables; salad crops; fruits; roses; trees; shrubs; evergreens and lawns. Ideal for hanging baskets and patio tubs. Concentrate makes up to 900 litres."
A read of the packet tells us that this is a 13-5-26 mixture, also supplying Magnesium, Sulfur, and many micro-nutrients, including Boron, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum and Zinc.
The mixture still gives a healthy Nitrogen feed (13%) for plant growth and sufficient Phosphorous (5%) to support healthy root growth, but its main asset is that it provides as much Potassium (26%) as even the hungriest tomato will thrive on. The remaining 56% is the Magnesium and Sulfur, micro- nutrients and the ballast to assist in the delivery of the fertilizer.
And the cost for this very professional product? A mere £3.48, which compares favourably with other liquid based products.
Honestly, I don't have any shares in Wilko, I am just a very satisfied customer.
